James is passionate about engaging in conversations about medical ethics and medicine's role in shaping the culture. He has been invited to speak to numerous groups about topics as diverse as medicine and Catholic social thought, the Christian roots of Western medicine, and Christian anthropology as a foundation for ethical medicine. He is a regular speaker at the Catholic Medical Association annual educational conference, and he is on the speaker's bureau of the Converging Roads medical ethics conference series produced by St. John Paul II Foundation.
